Corporate Breakfast for Anglicare WA – 9th October 2008

On Thursday the 9th of October Anglicare WA will hold its annual Corporate Breakfast, proudly supported by Arafura Resources, at the Hyatt Regency Perth.

Currently in its seventeenth year the Corporate Breakfast offers Perth based business people and Anglicare supporters a unique insight into the work of Anglicare WA and the needs of West Australians in crisis.

This year we are delighted to confirm Julie Bishop MP, Federal Member for Curtin, as our Guest Speaker. Julie was elected to the House of Representatives as the Member for Curtin in 1998 and again in 2001, 2004 and 2007.

Prior to entering Parliament Julie was Managing Partner of national law firm Clayton Utz in Western Australia. She held a number of positions including as Chair of the Western Australia Town Planning Appeals Tribunal; a member of Murdoch University Senate; the board of the Anglican Schools Commission and a director of SBS (TV and Radio) Corporation.

Julie served as a Cabinet Minister in the Coalition Government as Minister for Education, Science and Training and as the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Women’s Issues. Prior to this, Julie was Minister for Ageing.

She is currently Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Minister for Employment, Business and Workplace Relations.

This special event raises funds for Anglicare WA, assisting over 30,000 West Australians in crisis each year.

To secure your booking please contact Lara Appelhans on 9319 6408 or email fundraise@anglicarewa.org.au. Tickets are $75 per person (GST Inc.) or $700 for a table of ten (GST Inc.) Numbers are strictly limited so book now.
